SABRE Entries to Waive Rest Periods at Home Base Station

 

When a Flight Attendant requests to deadhead and exceed the on-duty limitations, per Article 7.M or Appendix I, Article 7.Q., they may further elect to waive the at-home legal rest following the originally scheduled but unflown deadhead flight(s) to base, and instead to be scheduled for at-home legal rest following her/his acutal deadhead flight(s) to base.

The entry to waive to actual trip flown is:

Per Article 10.D.2.a.(3), reserve Flight Attendants who elect to relinquish a reserve assignment through optional exchange, may elect to relinquish the rest period at home base provision in Article 7.L.3 attached to the original assignment.

The entry to waive the required 12 hour rest is:

Per Appendix I, Article 7.M.6, Flight Attendant’s working long-range or extended long-range sequences may elect to reduce their required 36 hour or 48 hour rest to no less than 24 hours. This entry will not work for bidding purposes.
