AA Discontinues ORD-DEL and DFW-BUR

American announced yesterday that New Delhi flights will end on March 1, 2012 and Burbank service will stop on February 9, 2012. When notified of the cancellations, APFA President Laura Glading inquired and was assured that this would not result in a Flight Attendant head-count reduction. RIFs are not anticipated, however IOR may see fall-offs in March 2012.

Bankruptcy Update

The National Mediation Board (NMB) has notified American and the Unions of a meeting scheduled for Thursday January 12. On Thursday, the NMB has requested that APA, APFA, TWU and the company meet for a negotiations status conference. We will provide additional information via this hotline as it becomes available.
