3.30.12 – (LAA) – Negotiations Update, Executive Bonuses, Picketing Event, EAP, National Coordinator Announcements, Division Reps
NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE
The court held a scheduling conference on Thursday, March 29, concerning the motions filed by the company to reject all of its collective bargaining agreements. The parties have not yet been able to agree on a schedule of hearing dates. Rather than set a fixed schedule at this point, the court has ordered the parties to return on Monday, April 2. At that point, we believe a final schedule for the submission of briefs and hearing dates will be entered as an order of the court.
RUMOR CONTROL – EXECUTIVE BONUSES
[email protected]
Recently there has been a rumor that the bankruptcy judge authorized the company to pay the annual Executive Bonuses. While we never know what the judge may do in the future as of the writing of this hotline that rumor is false.
MEMBERSHIP ACTION
The APFA Board of Directors met today via conference call and determined that a picketing event will be held on the first day of the Section 1113 court hearings. Once that date is determined more information will be provided.
