Reserves and Tablet Training
In addition we have continued to work to implement the provisions of the LBFO which allow for more opportunities for Reserves to attend required training during a reserve month. As a result, Reserve FAs are now able to attend tablet training on a Reserve month, although there are some restrictions. Effective immediately, Reserves will be able to contact the Flight Attendant Service Center for enrollment. Reserves will not be able to attend training on a Saturday or Sunday. The class must be plotted on a day following a duty-free period. If a class is not available then the class should be plotted immediately prior to a duty-free period. In addition, a limited number of Reserves can attend training on any given day from each respective base. This was a fine line to walk as we wanted to provide the ability to train during a Reserve month without increasing the numbers needed for Reserve at a time when the Reserve lists are already at record-high levels.

Vacation Bidding for the 2013/2014 fiscal year is about to open. The company has advised that they will not implement PBS during this fiscal year.
