Combined Operation Update – [email protected]
APFA has been in Crew Schedule Operations monitoring the combined operation implementation and so far, things are going smoothly. The HISEND MU rounds were processed successfully yesterday and again today at the expanded bases. TARS is working for Reserve assignments and the new HIPREF for INTL or DOM is in place.
A few issues that have been addressed:
- The N4B and N3B entries were not working, although the N4D/N4I and N3D/N3I were. This has been corrected.
- It appeared the “B” option in Option 9 of HIBOARD is not working, however it was. When “B” is selected it will not be visible, but both types of sequences are included in the sort
- The 3BR entry is not working for every Flight Attendant. Programmers are reviewing the problem.
As a reminder, the 757 (BA) equipment and 767-300 will still be awarded/assigned to Pursers and the “V” move up will be honored, even though some sequences including these particular aircraft no longer meet the JCBA requirement for a Purser qualification. The programming to eliminate this exception to the Lead position implementation is moving forward and this should be a relatively short-term problem.
Also, Flight Attendants removed to attend training unpaid and uncredited are taking advantage of the Access to Open Time Letter of Agreement. Please review the details of that agreement here.
