January 2016- April 2017 Calendar
You may bid any dates from January 1st, 2016 through May 1st, 2017. Use the standard American MMDDYY format for entering dates, e.g. August 10, 2016 is 081016.
PLEASE BE AWARE: A bid such as 050117 – 010116 for 7 days means the program will begin searching for available vacation days on May 01, 2017 moving BACKWARDS through 2016 looking for 7 days and ending on January 01, 2016.
Round 1 Bidding: Only days accrued (earned) in 2015 can be bid in Round 1 for the 2016-17 vacation year. You must bid in increments of 4 or more days. You may also bid a onetime exception of a 1-day, 2-day and 3-day periods, however in the Round 1 awards, the system will award ONLY ONE 1-day, ONE 2-day OR ONE 3-day period. If you are awarded a 1-day, 2-day or a 3-day period in Round 1, all remaining 1-day, 2-day and 3-day bids will be ignored, except for Filler Days.
Buddy Bidding: If you are Buddy Bidding with another FA, your buddy bids must be the first bids that you enter. Your BIDS MUST BE IDENTICAL and you must enter the Emp. # of the other FA in the DROP EMP NBR field. Example: If you are buddy bidding 3 groups of 7 days, these bids must be in Bid Boxes 1, 2 & 3, any other bids that are not part of the Buddy Bid must be in Bid Boxes 4, 5, 6, etc. Days not awarded will be passed to Round 2.
Filler Days: Up to twenty percent (20%) of your accrual earned in 2015 may be bid as Filler Days to a maximum of six (6) days. Remember: Fifty percent (50%) of your 2015 Filler Days can be carried over to 2016-17, however they will be considered as part of your 20% hold (max. of 6 days) for 2016-17.
Bidding Fillers Days: There are only two (2) steps to entering bids for Filler Days: In a separate Bid Box, enter the # of Days under the DAYS column and the letter Y under the FL column.
Round 2: Unused days from 2015 and/or days not awarded in Round 1 will be passed to Round 2. Carry-over days that Flight Attendants elected to reserve from the 2015 Vacation Award for bid in the 2016-17 Fiscal Vacation Bid will also be available for bid in Round 2.
