LAA/LUS APFA Contract and Scheduling Representatives
Any member in good standing is welcome to join the pool of representatives who are eligible to staff the APFA Headquarters Contract and Scheduling phone line. The first step is to attend the two day Contract and Scheduling training class offered at APFA. You must arrange to attend the class on your days off as trip removals are not offered. To be notified of the next class, email the National Contract or Scheduling Chair.
After attending the initial training class, the “trainee” must volunteer at the Contract and Scheduling desk with current representatives for four days. The time will be spent learning how to handle calls, resolve issues and document the contact with our members using tools including the APFA database and phone system.
After completing the training, the Flight Attendant becomes part of our pool of Representatives who may staff the desks. Generally, the four LAA Representatives work in one month increments and the one LUS Representative works in two week increments. They are selected by the National Chairs based on aptitude, quality of service to our members, and reliability.
