APFA Board of Directors Convention Begins Tomorrow – LAA/LUS
The 2016 APFA Annual Board of Directors Convention begins tomorrow, Wednesday, March 9, 2016. The convention will convene at 09:00am at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix · 340 N 3rd Street · Phoenix, Arizona, 85004 in the Paradise Valley Meeting Room, located on the 2nd floor. All members in good standing are welcome to attend the open portions of the meeting. The convention ends on Saturday, March 12th.
Legacy American’s Equity Distribution – LAA
Today, American Airlines announced that it would be making a fifth distribution of shares to labor from the Disputed Claims Reserve. The total number of shares being distributed to APFA is 2618. As explained on the APFA Equity Website, there is not at this time a sufficient number of shares to distribute to eligible Flight Attendants. 2015 Healthcare Flexible Spending Account Reminder – LAA/LUS
If you had a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (a.k.a. “Flexible Spending Account” or “FSA”) for the 2015 plan year, there is a grace period that extends into 2016 for your 2015 expenses if you still have a remaining account balance. You can use your 2015 FSA for services rendered between Jan. 1, 2015 and the extended grace period deadline of March 15, 2016.
You must submit claims to Your Spending Account (YSA) no later than June 15, 2016, and the funds will not be available to use for claims with service dates after March 15, 2016.
Daylight Saving Time 2016: Time to Spring Forward This Weekend – LAA/LUS
Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts for most of the U.S. on Sunday, March 13, at 2:00 AM.
Bermuda, the Bahamas, Haiti and the Turks and Caicos Islands will change clocks as well.
Exceptions in the U.S. include Arizona (except for the Navajo Nation, which observes DST), Hawaii, and the overseas territories of Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the United States Virgin Islands.
Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
