It is hard saying Goodbye! The “Little Airline” that was expected to disappear stayed and did great things.  What an amazing history! Farewell my friend. Seventy-Six years of service. 

October is the month for change. 

Benefits, Vacation, and 401K’s oh my! So many decisions and so little time. Calls have come in regarding all these changes. We have had many Flight Attendants call under stress with all of the changes. When they are asking for help, we are giving them the number for UNUM for 4 free visits to deal with stress related issues. 1-800-363-7190 and please know this is confidential and under Federal HIPPA laws. 

Crew Bags:

Section 16.K.4. Of the AA/APFA JCBA, Flight Attendants will be able to valet check bags when they are:

Deadheading (including to/from training) in uniform and all overhead bins are full; or,

Commuting in uniform, occupying a jumpseat and all overhead bins are full.

If you are not on the jumpseat, your bags will be in bag claim even if you commute in uniform. 

Grievance/NOD Updates: 

A Cease and Desist letter was sent to the Company regarding the weight and balance for the jumpseat. The Company has not yet responded. 

A NOD was filed regarding Pilots not changing payroll numbers to get premium pay and vacation days being included for monthly minimum of 11 days off. That is expected to be heard in November. We will update when we get the results. 
 
Retirement Seminar Returns to Charlotte

Patrick Hancock and Ron Harris will be returning to Charlotte for a second retirement information session. Their knowledge and humor was greatly appreciated the last time they were here. Meeting will be held at the Charlotte Airport Auditorium October 29, 2015 above the central food court from 11-2 pm. We hope to see you there.
