A Moment of Reflection of 2015
The PHX Base has had an amazing year. We began 2015 as a new airline with the promise of a stronger and brighter future, one like we have never seen before. The Spring brought us to final transition to parity with our peers of the former US Airways and brought all of us the hope of an exciting transition at the new American Airlines. We have had our share of obstacles and challenges as well.
The past year has not been easy. There is not one of us that can say that it has. But we did it! We have closed 2015 with the typical PHX style of dignity, grace and our tenacious “CAN DO” spirit. We have said goodbye to many close friends along the way. We rekindled strong relationships with others, and we have welcomed new crewmembers both from other bases and new to the airline with open arms. We have always had a unique way of depending on one another to get the job done and we did it!
With a greater hope we look to 2016 with a new perspective. The challenge of PBS continues to push our patience, but with each other and our individual and collective strong will, it won’t break our spirit. We will continue our long-standing tradition of unity and strength to bolster our solidarity and determination to make 2016 better for all us!
Take a minute to pat yourselves on the back for a job well done. Thank your crewmembers and your family for their support. We couldn’t have done it out them! Happy New Year!
