Fellow Flight Attendants,
I would like to introduce Flight Attendant Ron Harris as the new APFA Retirement Specialist. Ron is currently a DFW based Purser and has been flying for 19 years.
He has been active in union work for most of his career, and for the past four years has worked as an assistant to Patrick Hancock, co-presenting the APFA Retirement Briefing Seminars and Advanced Retirement Representative Training.
Ron has helped many Flight Attendants resolve their retirement and pension issues with the company and he brings a unique perspective to the position with his additional training in Social Security and Medicare. As an added bonus, Patrick Hancock will continue to assist Ron during base seminars.
As an IDF/DFW Base Council Rep (BCR) for the past five years, Ron has helped base leadership with day to day issues surrounding retirement, professional standards, and grievances and will continue to represent DFW FAs as a BCR.
We welcome Ron to his new position and join him in reminding everyone that it is never too early to start planning for retirement. We encourage every member to attend an APFA Retirement Briefing held locally at bases throughout the year.
Ron’s contact information is:
