Everyone that lives in Charlotte or who is based in Charlotte knows of the protests and riots that have occurred over the last two days. We are concerned about our layover crews that are spending their overnights in the city of Charlotte and may not be informed of this second day of protests.
As of last night, efforts to keep crews out of the city have been underway. Crews will be staying near the airport at least through Thursday, and Friday. If you are currently in the city, there is a possibility that it is safer for you to stay in the hotel rather than trying to move you. It may be more dangerous to leave at this moment. STAY IN YOUR ROOM.
Your National and Local leaders have been paying attention and working through this. There may be more changes to your hotels in the upcoming days. Please look for updates by the company and the union.
To our local residents in Charlotte, please be careful traveling around the city. Please contact the local Charlotte Leaders for any assistance you may need while you are here. This is for all bases staying in Charlotte.
We are here to help.
