Airport Blitz in PHX This Week

WINGS volunteers will be in the PHX Flight Service check-in room on Friday conducting a blitz to:

• Educate Flight Attendants on how WINGS assists Flight Attendants
• Encourage enrollment to financially support those WINGS assists
• Provide information on recycling specific to the PHX base
• Invite other Flight Attendants to volunteer their services to help bring WINGS information to all LUS Flight Attendants

We will also have WINGS merchandise available; including vintage note cards, cookbooks, playing cards, AA afghans, stylus pen/flashlights, PHX WINGS tumblers, and the 3-pocket WINGS apron that is approved to wear with our current and our new uniforms! These make great holiday gifts for your fellow Flight Attendants and friends and family!  

Donate Current Uniform Pieces

Do you have pieces from the new uniform that you do not plan to wear and would like to donate them to help build inventory for the WINGS PHX Wear Store? If so, we will be accepting those pieces during the blitz on Friday. You can also donate your unwanted new pieces and receive a credit exchange. A credit exchange can only be used towards uniform pieces and not the WINGS merchandise (apron, playing cards, afghan etc.). Once inventory of the current uniform has increased, volunteers will operate the WINGS PHX Store (located at the former PHX Flight Training Center), as schedules permit. 

Prize Drawings

Over the summer, WINGS PHX volunteers conducted multiple blitzes to educate Flight Attendants about the WINGS Foundation. This Friday, we will draw from the hundreds who so generously donate! The prizes to be drawn are:

• 25,000 AAdvantage Miles Awards (Two Drawings)
• Framed Costa Rica Travel Poster
• City of Phoenix Gift Basket 
• First Class Amenity Kits from each airline making up American Airlines 
• WINGS American Airlines Vintage Afghan

Winners will be contacted via telephone this weekend.

The Wings Foundation is a non-profit organization, formed & managed by American Airlines Flight Attendants. Volunteers administer support to AA Flight Attendants applying for assistance who are in critical need of financial help. Assistance may be available to those experiencing serious illness, injury or disability.
