The APFA Voting Board of Directors (BOD) has spent many hours debating and deliberating over the APFA Executive Committee’s (EC) decision to send out the proposed Annual Minimum Threshold Requirements (Hard 40) and the JCBA Implementation Timeline (Vacation & Sick) Letters of Agreement (LOAs) for membership ratification.  Â

The APFA Voting BOD has determined that the unrealistic condition the Company has imposed on the LOAs—the timeline of an August 3rd deadline for ratification— does not give the Union sufficient time to effectively educate the membership on the new scheduling systems in the JCBA that will be implemented and how these LOAs will impact our future work life going forward.

The APFA Voting Board of Directors unanimously decided to overturn the vote of the APFA Executive Committee and return these LOAs back to the Company. The following resolution was passed today at the APFA Special Board of Directors meeting held in DFW:
