9.14.17 – Crew Schedule Errors Proffering Open Trips
Thursday, September 14, 2017
We are fully aware during the extraordinary events surrounding hurricane Irma that errors were made by Crew Schedule when proffering open trips. Given the number of claims anticipated, Miami Flight Service has agreed to set up a command post to deal with these on an individual basis.
Gather all your documentation: including the date, sequence numbers, and any other information pertinent to the claim. Keep in mind that sequences coded with an LO or HV supersede seniority since those trips were assigned at the point of contact or in the obligation window to satisfy pay protection requirements and MIC procedures.
DO NOT SEND SCREENSHOTS
Send your email directly to your Flight Service manager. If the claim is not resolved satisfactorily, you will have the opportunity to file a dispute and set up a meeting with the Union and your FSM.
For September 15th, standard operations will apply. Critical Coverage is open for Miami. Only Critical Coverage assignments will be paid at Critical Coverage rates. All other trips will be paid at normal pay rates.
Please put yourself on the appropriate list for the trip you want, and PLEASE remove yourself if you do not wish to fly. This will make the processing faster for everyone. Your cooperation is appreciated by your fellow crew members!
Thanks for your patience.
