LOA Reached on Modification to LAA Calendar Bidding Period – LAA

APFA and the Company have reached an agreement to modify the LAA calendar bidding period in conjunction with the implementation of the Electronic Trade Board (ETB) and Trip Trading System (TTS) for the August bid month. This means Flight Attendants will now be able to bid, receive their awards, and start trading trips for the following month earlier than we currently do today.

Effective in July for the contractual month of August and remaining in effect until such LAA bases switch to JCBA PBS, the monthly trip selections (bid sheets) shall be available electronically no later than the 11th day of the calendar month and hard copies shall be distributed and made available to Flight Attendants no later than the 12th day of the calendar month. Bidding will open on the 11th at 1200 DFW and will close at 1200 DFW on the 15th.

Bid results shall be posted no later than 1200 DFW on the 20th. The first TTS run for the next month will occur on the 21st at 2300 HBT (TTS will open no later than 1200 DFW on the 20th to queue requests) and ETB will open for the next month on the 22nd at 0400 HBT.

24-Hour Adjusted Backup Plan

Opening and closing of bidding may be adjusted, if necessary, as a result of issues arising from the close-out of payroll and the loading of the subsequent month’s schedule. If an adjustment is necessary, bidding would then open on the 12th day of the calendar month at 1200 DFW and close at 1200 DFW on the 16th day of the calendar month. Bid results would be posted no later than 1200 DFW on the 21st. The first TTS run for the next month would occur on the 22nd at 2300 HBT (TTS would open no later than 1200 DFW on the 21st to queue requests) and ETB would open for the next month on the 23rd at 0400 HBT.
