Hello Miami! This is a quick Base Blast for a few items. In this edition, we want to remind you of an important Retirement Seminar we have planned for March. There were also a couple of typos from the Base Brief and we want to correct them.

Retirement Seminar

Mark your calendars!

We have scheduled a retirement seminar for March 19th. APFA Retirement Specialists from headquarters will come to discuss retirement options for anyone considering retirement, as well as those who should be planning for the future.

We are also inviting the Retirement Planner from the Credit Union to attend.

If you have not attended one of our retirement seminars, they are valuable for those who are looking to retire in two months, two years, or twenty years. The specialists provide information for any and every one on their path to their retirement. In one way or another, we are all on the path!

It’s never too early to plan for your future! The seminar will be held in the 4^th floor Auditorium (by the old Credit Union) from 1100-1400.

Annual Vacation Bidding Information Error

Unfortunately, we made an error in the vacation information in the Base Brief that went out this week regarding vacations. We need to clarify.

The Brief read, “Any block of seven (7) consecutive vacation days or more will be receive pay and credit of four (4) hours per day. Any block of less than six (6) days will receive pay and credit of three and one-half (3.5) hours per day.”

What it should have read is, “Any block of seven (7) consecutive vacation days or more will be receive pay and credit of four (4) hours per day. Any block of six (6) days or less will receive pay and credit of three and one-half (3.5) hours per day.”

We are sorry for the error and any confusion.

New Header/Banner

The new header we produced included our new FOI Specialist’s and our Professional Standards representative’s contact information. It was inadvertently left off of the banner. It is included at the top of this Base Blast for your use to contact all of your base reps.
