AA Temporarily Removes Fourteen Aircraft from Service for Evaluation
American Airlines has notified APFA that fourteen (14) of the Boeing 737-800 series aircraft have been removed from service for further inspection. An issue with two (2) of these aircraft stems from the upgraded interiors by one of their FAA-licensed vendors. Out of caution, the Company proactively removed the other twelve (12) aircraft that were also updated by this same vendor.
