6.07.19 – PHX Base Brief – Crew Planning & Allocations Call
Friday, June 7, 2019
Greetings PHX FA’s!
We recently had our monthly Crew Planning and Allocations call for the July bid month and would like to share some details with our PHX members.
We were successful at getting the company to reduce the percentage of 4 day trips in our base by another 4% for July. You’ll notice we are down to 10.8% 4 day trips which is still high but, we are moving in the right direction.
Another thing we continue to address is the lengthy sit times in our larger hubs. However, we’re not happy with the company’s response regarding this high level of unproductive manpower. We were told the sit times are now programmed in the optimizer to schedule 80 minutes or more of sit time when an aircraft swap is planned in places like DFW, MIA, CLT, ORD, LAX and in some cases PHL. We will revisit this issue again on our August call.
The following is what to expect for the July 2019 bid period:
*1 day Sequence: 16.7%
*2 day Sequence: 30.8%
*3 day Sequence: 41.7%
*4 day Sequence: 10.8%
*=Approximate and preliminary
Please continue to voice your concerns to us so we can let the company know what you want and we will make your voice heard.
