7.07.19 – ORD Base Brief AUG Allocation
Sunday, July 7, 2019
Hello ORD!
We would like to give a warm welcome to all FAs new to ORD. Happy to have you here! Please remember when contacting us, always include your employee number and let us know if you have contacted another rep. This helps us to not duplicate work. ORD reps are available by phone, text, and email. “Live Chat” on the APFA website is another after hours/weekend resource for assistance.
We are coming out of a critical attendance period. Verify all attendance, performance and bonus points in “My View” on the Flight Service website. Contact your FSM with any questions.
The Union continues to press the company for a fix regarding the inaccuracy of the ROTD Callout Report. The National Scheduling Chair confirmed that the ROTD programming CS uses to make assignments is accurate. Only the list/report the FAs look at is inaccurate. If you believe you have been assigned out of order, ask CS or the Senior on duty to verify. A Hotline will go out as soon as we get more information on the timeline for the correction. The company moved the LHR pick up times 15 min earlier on return Flt 99 and 47. They cite delays due to LHR congestion during peak summer travel times as the driver. We have seen no data to support the change solely due to late arriving crew. Please document all instances when the crew is kept waiting at the gate prior to boarding the aircraft. Use the Hotel Debrief form on the APFA website or write [email protected].
The monthly allocation meeting was last week. Most of the data we receive is available to you on the Crew Portal Bidding Dashboard–targeted lineholder, reserve, total bidder and line average. We will continue to share these numbers and any pertinent information from the call.

Call Highlights:
–We will see another month with increased sit times built into many pairings. It is driven by Network Planning and a maintenance schedule that continues to change the path of an aircraft after pairings are created and added to the bid packet. Crew resources are building extra time in the pairings to accommodate for unplanned aircraft changes.
–737 MAX is not built into AUG schedules
–Slight increase in the number of ODAN sequences
–Please continue to share your feedback on the pairings.
