Payroll Support Program
APFA, along with other labor Unions and airline executives, continue to advocate for a clean extension of the Payroll Support Program. Without this extension, furloughs will happen. We will continue to advocate and fight for our Flight Attendants until we have a bill passed. Please continue to encourage your elected Representatives to support and pass a clean extension of the Payroll Support Program. Call and email every day. Information may be found here.
Attend #ReliefNow Events This Week
FABRC
We have been told by the Company that a very small-scale version of the Flight Attendant Bidding Resource Center (FABRC) will remain available for the mis-award process only. They will not have anyone available to assist with bidding. The phone number will be disconnected, and you will have to submit your bid award review request via email. We do not know what this looks like yet. As soon as the Company has figured it all out, they will be communicating the information.
October Sequences
The October sequences are not pretty. Many push the envelope right to the edge of duty day legalities. It has been a long while since we have had scheduling/rescheduling issues. Please refer to the contract, JCBA Section 10.J. and the duty day charts which can be found in Section 11.E. and Section 11.F. If you do not have a paper contract, you may find the JCBA as well as the charts for legalities including rest requirements in your tablet under Comply365 > My Publications > Document Library > Pay & APFA Contract and Guides.
777 and 787 Training
PHL now has 777 and 787 as part of the required base equipment qualification training. When our IPD flying resumes, we will be operating those flights with the 777 and the 787. We also have domestic flying on the 787. If you are not yet qualified on this equipment, please monitor mobile CCI when balloting opens for November classes.
If you are out on an STLOA or EVLOA, you may attend qualification training. Please contact the training support desk for class dates/times. Live chat with the training department is available on the Flight Service Training page.
PHL Parking
Parking in the PHL airport garage for employees has been extended until November 1st. As a reminder, A East and Concourse C security has been shut down. A west security is open, but currently does not have KCM. Terminal B security is open and has KCM access.
Meeting with Flight Service Manager
If you are called or sent a letter from your manager requesting a meeting, for whatever the reason, please remember you are always entitled to Union representation. Please contact us as soon as possible for representation. Call our office at 215-360-3115.
