Phoenix Flight Attendants,

After the news on displacements was announced last week, we have heard from Flight Attendants at all seniority levels. There has been an overwhelming amount of frustration and anger with an ill-prepared Company that left us with very little information when the announcement was made. Their rushed timeline doesn’t allow for those being displaced to make massive life-changing decisions. Our PHX Flight Attendants have felt the lack of compassion from those making and communicating this decision. WE DESERVE BETTER!

This displacement affects the entire PHX base! One-third of our base is being forced out, which will be felt throughout the whole PHX base.

The most junior Flight Attendants will be close to 20 years seniority. This will change how everyone bids and which days off, vacation, and Reserve rotations the remaining people can hold.

Reserve in PHX will become more senior than ever before; Flight Attendants currently serving Reserve only once a year will possibly sit Reserve three months per year.

The time has come for us to fight back! We are launching a series of events next week. We need your participation; it’s time to let the company know that we will not accept this decision without a fight. They should not break up our family! We deserve better! There is still time for the Company to do the right thing and reverse their decision or adjust the timeline, so it is more compassionate. We are people with families and lives; we are not numbers and dollars signs in someone’s spreadsheet or ‘optimizer’ program.

• Car Rally staging area at 44th St Cell Phone Lot. (Come early to decorate your car.)

 

November 24th

• 8:30am-11:30am (Morning)
• 11:30am-2:30pm (Afternoon)

• 8:30am-11:30am (Morning)
• 11:30am-2:30pm (Afternoon)

 

Because of the strict COVID restrictions, we are limited in the number of people we can have at the Terminal 4 picket. However, we will do a large car parade around the terminal during the picketing! We ask that you RSVP HERE if you plan on attending the Terminal picketing. We have supplies available to decorate your cars and make signs for the car rally. If there is overflow, we will cycle people to help with the car rally.

We need a large turnout for these events next week. Sign up for as many time slots as you’d like. Please send this event to your friends and flying peers! Everyone is welcome! One thing has always been consistent here in PHX- we are family, and we will fight for the good of all.
