April 2021 Allocations
Philadelphia Flight Attendants,
April allocations show a substantial increase in flying. We have LHR and DUB in the April bid packet operating daily, and we have an increase in NIPD turns. We have more two and three-day trips along with a decrease in one-day trips. We still have no ODANs because the late bank of mainline flying has not returned. We continue to see high sit times.
I am disappointed that the one-day turns such as MCO, ORD, DFW, and MIA are not operating daily. We have them scattered throughout the month.
We had our staffing call, which was much longer than usual. The company offered 604 unpaid VLOA’s systemwide. They had 1451 Flight Attendants ballot for the unpaid monthly VLOA. They did not award everyone, and they will not be offering any 70-hour paid VLOA’s for April. While we understand the angst and frustration over monthly paid leaves not being offered, the fact that our overage in headcount is only at 81 people is a good thing. This means flying is returning, and we are trending in the right direction.
Below is the staffing allocations information:
- The system line average is projected at 79.8.
- The reserve percentage systemwide is 19.5%.
- PBS will open with an 80-hour line average for PHL.
- We have an increase in block hours for April – our total block hours are 75,696, with 4,706 in PIT. We had 59,957 total block hours for March.
