We bargained with the Company in January and February. During these sessions, the company and APFA exchanged updated proposals on Section 10- Scheduling and Section 12– Reserve.

Today, APFA filed for federal mediation in our contract talks. As we previously discussed, federal mediation is part of the process for reaching an agreement under the Railway Labor Act.

2.28.23 – Primary Round of 2023-24 Vacation Bidding Closes Tomorrow

The Primary Round of Vacation Bidding will close tomorrow, March 1st at 1200 (CT). Primary Round awards will be posted no later than Tuesday, March 7th at 1200 (CT).

2.28.23 – APFA EAP Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP)

As stated in a previous hotline, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Professional Standards, and the Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP) (formerly known as the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT)), will soon be one group working collaboratively to offer seamless support for Flight Attendants.

2.24.23 – Celebrating 30 Years of the Family and Medical Leave Act

February marks the 30th anniversary of the job-protected Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). At its conception, Flight Crews were not eligible because our work hours did not fall under the definition of “hours worked” under the FLSA, making us unable to satisfy the 1,250-hour requirement.
