Waiving Rest After Reserve OE Drop

In accordance with Article 10.D.2.a.3 of the contract, reserve Flight Attendants now have the option to waive the rest period at home following a trip they gave up through Optional Exchange. If the Flight Attendant does not waive her/his at home rest after a trip they drop through Optional Exchange, the legalities associated with the trip will apply. This is applicable for both domestic and international reserves. To waive at home rest after each specific trip sequence dropped through OE, a reserve Flight Attendant must enter the following in their personal mode:

HIHBW/seq/seq origination date

A confirmation of the transaction will then be provided.

In addition to this change, all Flight Attendants who elect to waive their on-duty limitation to deadhead home early, referred to as Appendix A deadhead, may choose to waive the legal rest at home following the originally scheduled deadhead flight(s) and instead schedule the rest at home according to the actual deadhead flight(s) flown. For more information on these changes, please refer to the Letter of Agreement on page 84 of the Contract.
