8.05.08 – (LAA) – WTS mailed to LGA, SFO-I, Ballots for ORD and JFK Due by 8.11.08

Special notice for members in LGA, SFO-I, ORD and JFK from the APFA National Ballot Committee

This is a special notice from the APFA National Ballot Committee. Today is August 5, 2008.

In accordance with Article VI, Sections 8.B. and 8.C. of the APFA Constitution, today, Willingness-to-Serve Notifications for LGA Vice Chair and SFO-I Chair and Vice Chair were mailed to APFA members based at LGA and SFO-I. This was made necessary due to an existing vacancy in the Vice Chair positions at both bases, and a vacancy in the SFO-I Chairperson position that will occur on September 1, 2008.

If you are LGA or SFO-I based and are interested in serving in any of these positions, completed Notifications are due in the designated post office box by 10:00 AM Central Time on September 2, 2008.

For Flight Attendants based in ORD and JFK, ballots for the current Vice Chair elections are due in the designated post office box by 10:00 AM Central Time on Monday, August 11, 2008. The ballot count will be conducted immediately following the ballot pick-up in the Unity Pays conference room at APFA Headquarters. If you are based at ORD or JFK you must be a member in good standing by 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 7 in order for your ballot to be counted.
