7.12.12 – (LAA) – APFA Leadership and Negotiating Committee Meet to Discuss LBFO
CORRECTION: APFA Special Hotline Update – 7.12.12
This is Leslie Mayo, National Communications Coordinator, with the APFA Hotline for Thursday, July 12, 2012.
The APFA Negotiating Committee met with the APFA leadership today to discuss, in detail, the company’s Last Best and Final Offer (LBFO). In addition, APFA’s legal and financial professionals were on hand to answer questions about the bankruptcy process and potential scenarios going forward.
In the event that an LBFO is submitted to the membership for a vote, only members who are dues current will be eligible to have their vote counted. If you are a member in bad standing, and you want to have your vote counted in any upcoming election, it will be necessary either to set up a payment plan with APFA at least 30 days prior to the counting of the ballots, or to become dues current no later than 5 days prior to a ballot count. In other words, if you are in dues arrears and want to have your ballot counted in any upcoming vote, you must act as soon as possible, without further delay. To become dues current, contact the APFA Membership Department at [email protected] or call 817.540.0108, ext. 8153.
That’s it for now. Thanks for calling the APFA Hotline.
