AA Announces a Do-Over on Domestic FA Bidsheets – 9.18.12

The company noticed APFA today that bid sheets for the domestic operation would be completely reworked causing an obvious delay. The reasons it gave for the reduction in schedule from yesterday’s news reports were “a number of factors, including higher than expected pilot retirements and sick levels as well as an increase in unscheduled out-of-service aircraft.”
 
APFA was given a tentative schedule for Domestic Bidding as follows: Domestic Bid sheets available online September 24. Bids will close September 27 at 0001 and bids will be final on September 28. We will update this hotline as more information comes available.
