9.19.12 – (LAA) – AA Announces Hotel Layover Changes for Domestic, Bidsheet Delay
SPECIAL HOTLINE UPDATE
AA Announces Hotel Layover Changes for Domestic in October – 9.19.12
The company has noticed APFA that it will begin implementing changes to our layover hotels. The initial changes will impact some of our domestic markets beginning in October and start moving systemwide in November. Obviously, the company will perform cost evaluations before changes are made, however, the company is still required to comply with Article 21 of our contract regarding hotel guidelines. These guidelines include the safety and security of rooms and hotel locations, cleanliness, etc…
We have uploaded an email from AA’s Hotel Contract Manager to www.apfa.org’s Hotel Department page listing the markets that will initially be affected. Please click here for that info.

SPECIAL HOTLINE UPDATE
Bidsheet Delay – International Deadline Postponed, Too 9.19.12
Due to undefined flight cancellations, management has now informed us that they will delay both Domestic and International bids for the month of October. Also, we have been told that only the Domestic bid sheets will be reworked and reissued. No dates for the revised bid sheets or bid deadlines have been announced by the company.
The delaying of our bid sheets affects so many aspects of our members’ lives. We are doing what we can to expedite the process. In the meantime, the Vice President’s department is evaluating any violations to our contract and what our next steps will be.
