Fair Tax Treatment for Our Workforce

 

Last week, I sent a letter to Rep. Michael Grimm (R-NY) supporting his amendment to the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 (HR 2591). Mr. Grimm’s amendment will provide American Airlines employees with the same fair tax treatment that our colleagues at other carriers were afforded during their employers’ bankruptcies. Co-sponsors of the legislation include Reps. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Richard Hanna (R-NY), Tim Bishop (D-NY), Michael Burgess (R-TX), and Peter Roskam (R-IL).  To read my letter in full please click here.
