Thirty-five years ago today, American Airlines Flight 191, a DC-10-10 carrying 10 San Diego- and LAX-based Flight Attendants, 3 pilots and 258 passengers crashed just after takeoff from Chicago en route to Los Angeles. All 271 people on board perished.
