APFA Negotiations Update – Management’s Contract Proposal to APA
November 12, 2014
On Tuesday, the company presented a contract proposal to the pilots that included wages equal to Delta rates + 3%, with out-year raises of 3% each year. The proposal does not include profit sharing. If accepted, the pilots’ pay at the new American will be industry-leading. The company’s proposal includes a request to eliminate one of the two Scope clauses in the current contract, bringing that provision to industry-standard.
As a reminder, the top of scale wages in our rejected T/A were based on Delta rates + 4% in the first year, with raises of 2%, 2%, 2%, and 3% in the contract’s out years. The pilot proposal is in line with the Flight Attendants’ rejected T/A.”
