Implementation of Training Pay from the JCBA for LAA Flight Attendants, originally scheduled for February 1, 2015, is being delayed. This provision provides for $75.00 on each day of training replacing any trip removal pay and guarantee protections that previously applied if a trip removal was necessary to attend training. Due to the significant amount of training that will continue to take place for LAA Flight Attendants in 2015 and beyond (e.g. Airbus, 777-300, 787, Overwater/IFS, etc.) the Negotiating Team, with guidance from the APFA Board of Directors, has agreed to delay implementation of the $75 training pay in order to continue trip removal pay and monthly guarantee protections. Training pay of $9.50 per hour will continue to apply when required to attend training on days off.
Please note the proffer ballot for the February Overwater Training will now close on Friday, January 2, 2014 at 1000 CT.
