Q: As an LAA Flight Attendant, if I call in sick, will I be paid for a sequence that was picked up as Optional Exchange (OE), Optional Exchange Reserve (OR), Makeup (MU), Option II (II), Limited Option II (L2), Critical Coverage (CC), Critical Coverage on Reserve (CR), Adjacent Base (AB), Volunteer Purser (VP) or Volunteer Language (VL)?
A: Not yet. LAA Flight Attendants are status quo for this provision and are not yet paid for the above sequences unless the Flight Attendant actually works the sequence. Once the sick cap (80 hours for Domestic; 85 hours for International/Reserves) is removed, Flight Attendants will be paid full value for all sequence(s) from which they call in sick. JCBA – Section 9.
LAA
Q: I am an LAA Flight Attendant with 1,000 hours in my sick bank. Will the sick hours I accrued in 2014 be added to my sick bank this year?
A: Yes. Beginning on January 1, 2015, LAA Flight Attendants can earn a maximum of 1,500 sick leave hours towards their sick bank. JCBA – Section 9.C.2.
LUS
Q: When will LUS Flight Attendants receive the additional 2.5% 401(k) Company Match?
A: The LUS Flight Attendants additional 2.5% company match will be implemented on 2-1-15. JCBA – Section 26
LUS
Q: Is there an Implementation date change for the Weight and Balance restriction for LUS Flight Attendant Jump Seat?
A: Yes. As a result of the technical problems that LUS Flight Attendants have experienced with FCFS, the Company has agreed to wait for FULL Flight Attendant Operational Integration (FOI) before attempting to implement the jump seat weight and balance provision. This is not expected to take place before 2017. JCBA – Section 37
LAA/LUS
Q: Are there any updates on the items dated “as soon as practicable” in the Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement Implementation Schedule?
A: Members of the JNC continue to meet with the Company to secure definitive dates for those items dated “as soon as practicable.” These meetings are scheduled over the next few weeks and months to ensure new language contained in the JCBA is implemented expeditiously avoiding unnecessary delays.
