LAA
Dental Open Enrollment Update: 1.22.15 – 1.30.15 – [email protected]
Due to the extremely high call volume for the new dental enrollment option for LAA Flight Attendants, the company will be adding 30 representatives beginning Friday, January 23rd to assist our workgroup with this enrollment. The chat and email options have also been made available to help alleviate the long wait times when calling the AA Benefits toll free line. If you choose to email or chat, you will need to provide your name, employee number, the words “Dental Standard Option,” and those who will be covered: (employee only; employee + spouse/domestic partner; or employee + family).
As of 2015, dependents up to the age of 26 may be carried on an employee’s dental insurance. If you are adding a dependent during this enrollment and s/he was not previously enrolled, additional steps may be required for proof of eligibility. To email HR, click here.
If you take no action, your current dental election will remain unchanged.
Below are the details of the additional Dental Option being offered to LAA Flight Attendants:
“LAA Flight Attendants now have the option to enroll in a third dental option administered by MetLife. This option pays 100% of preventive care when you see a MetLife preferred provider. For basic or major dental care the plan will pay 80% of the negotiated rate (up to $1,500 per year) after a $50 deductible. The plan also offers a lifetime orthodontia benefit of up to $1,500 per person for both adults and children. For additional information and to compare all 3 dental options and rates visit http://my.aa.com/en/dental-2015 and select Legacy American Airlines Flight Attendants. If you would like to enroll in this option for 2015 you must call the American Airlines Benefits Service Center between January 22, 2015, and January 30, 2015, between 9am and 6pm central standard time. Please note: both coverage and deductions will be retroactive to January 1, 2015.
