Some Flight Attendants who voted in the recent Base elections received an email stating that their ballots were voided. The National Ballot Committee (NBC) has been asked to explain the meaning of those emails.
In order to be eligible to vote, members must be in good standing (not more than 60 days in dues arrears, unless they are on an official APFA dues payment plan). If members are ineligible because of dues arrears, their ballots are voided. The emails that were automatically generated and sent by BallotPoint simply stated that the ballots were voided, without expressly stating that the member was ineligible to vote because of dues arrears. This is the same email message that BallotPoint has been sending for the past year.
Any further questions can be sent to the NBC by emailing [email protected].
