APFA continues to receive calls and emails regarding thresholds (minimum hours) that need to be flown in order to qualify for benefits, vacation and/or sick accrual.
JCBA 40-Hour Minimum Monthly Scheduling Requirement

*Flight Attendants pay active/subsidized rates for benefits regardless of the number of paid hours.
Vacation/Sick Accrual Threshold
LAA – 420 hrs/calendar year for VC and SK accrual. LAA Flight Attendants must be paid 420 hours (avg. of 35 hrs. per active mo.) to accrue VC and SK in active months.

Additional 777-300 Proffer Training Classes – [email protected]
APFA has been able to work with the company to create additional 777-300 proffer classes for March as well as April to help accommodate the bases of LGA, MIA, DFW and LAX as we continue to prepare for the combination of the International and Domestic bases in May. LGA, MIA, DFW and LAX will each have 10 proffer slots available for March. Please refer to your HI6 messages for more details or the 777-300 proffer ballot on the Crew Resources page of Jetnet. The deadline for the March 777-300 training proffer is Sunday, February 22 at 1000CT.

LAX Retirement Briefing – [email protected]
APFA Retirement Specialist Patrick Hancock has scheduled a retirement seminar on Thursday February 26, from 1100-1300. The briefing will be held in Terminal 4, Lower Level, Federal Inspection Service (FIS) Area Conference room near baggage claim, outside of security and across from Starbucks. All Flight Attendants are invited to attend. Bring a copy of your pension estimate available from Jetnet. This very popular and informative briefing will cover many topics important to making the most of your retirement planning.
