Prefunding Arbitration and LUS ETB/ISAP/RESERVE
APFA will be spending most of April preparing for one of the most important arbitrations APFA has ever presented. If we are successful, the outcome of this arbitration will produce around $35 million for our members; which is the approximate prefunding match amount that was not returned to Legacy AA Flight Attendants following AA’s bankruptcy. We will keep the membership informed every step of the way.
Ā
The other major focus for APFA in April is to fix the LUS ETB/ISAP/Reserve problems that have plagued Flight Attendants since PBS began. Meetings have been scheduled throughout next week. Please stay tuned to this hotline for updates.

APFA Board Meeting Continuation Scheduled – May 6-7, 2015
At the recent APFA Annual Convention, the union’s business was not completed prior to the conclusion of the meeting. As a result of a motion passed by the APFA Board of Directors, a Board meeting has been scheduled for May 6-7 at which the Board can consider the outstanding issues.
Ā
The Board Meeting will be held in DFW at the Embassy Suites. All members in good standing are welcome to attend.

APFA EAP Rep Hotline – [email protected]
A communication went out earlier today to LUS Flight Attendants using APFA’s official template that listed EAP contacts at the local LUS bases. This communication was not approved by APFA. While the APFA EAP Department has representatives at all 20 bases, as well as representatives at APFA Headquarters, the Department will have to review the LUS Communications list to verify that those individuals are, in fact, APFA EAP reps. In the meantime, for confidential assistance with your EAP concerns, contact the EAP Department at 817-540-0108 ext. 8701 or at [email protected]. Ā

Partnership for Open & Fair Skies – [email protected]
APFA remains active in the campaign to level the playing field upon which Gulf- and US-based carriers compete. We are also using the opportunity to highlight the substandard working conditions of Flight Attendants at Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Qatar Airways. Flight Attendants have been visiting members of Congress in their district offices as well as local mayors and other officials in targeted markets to voice our concerns. To learn more about the effort, visit the APFA website. To get involved, email Julie Frederick, APFA Government Affairs, at [email protected].Ā
