LUS A321 Jumpseat Letter of Agreement
On October 17, 2015 the Company migrated the legacy US Airways reservations and airport check-in system to Sabre. In conjunction with this, an issue was discovered involving the A321 aircraft seat map. While a solution is being implemented for flights departing on and after October 22, 2015, in the interim, Sabre only recognizes a total of six (6) cabin jumpseats on all A321 aircraft. Consequently, airport personnel are unable to issue a boarding pass for the additional seventh (7th) cabin jumpseat that is present on former legacy US Airways A321 aircraft.
American Airlines Management and APFA have come to an agreement should any Flight Attendant be unable to commute to base as a result of this temporary issue. The complete language and details of the letter of agreement are available for viewing in the link below.
