We Remember…American Airlines Flight 587
On this day, 14 years ago, an American Airlines Airbus A300-600 aircraft enroute from New York’s JFK Airport to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic crashed into the Belle Harbor neighborhood of Queens, NY shortly after takeoff. All 260 passengers, including seven Flight Attendants, the Captain and First Officer, in addition to five people on the ground lost their lives that day.
