Paris Shootings and Hostage Situation
Unknown assailants conducted multiple attacks around Paris, France late this evening. Our LAA and LUS Flight Attendants and Pilots on layovers in Paris, at both hotels, are accounted for and safe. There are preliminary reports of multiple casualties in at least three areas. French President Francois Hollande announced that he was closing the country’s borders and declaring a state of emergency.
Crews in Paris are advised to remain at their hotel until further advised, maintain a low profile, stay in contact with their fellow crewmembers and remain vigilant. It is unknown to what degree this will impact flights in and out of Paris. We will keep you updated as more information develops.
We send our positive thoughts and prayers to the victims, families and those in Paris tonight.
The APFA EAP Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) is available for confidential help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are Flight Attendants assisting Flight Attendants. For CONFIDENTIAL assistance call: (800) 998-8194
