Winter Storm Jonas Update – LAA/LUS
American Airlines has announced numerous cancellations across the system due to the looming impact of Winter Storm Jonas. Here is the latest information from the Company regarding operations:
CLT:
- January 21 (Thursday) – no aircraft will remain overnight
- January 22 (Friday) – all flights cancelled
- January 23 (Saturday) – the operation is expected to begin with the 0900 ET departure bank
RDU:
- January 21 (Thursday) – normal operations expected
- January 22 (Friday) – all flights cancelled
- January 23 (Saturday) – the operation is expected to begin at 1200 ET
DCA/IAD/BWI:
- January 21 (Thursday) – normal operations expected
- January 22 (Friday) – normal operations up until late in the day; no aircraft will remain overnight
- January 23 (Saturday) – all flights cancelled
- January 24 (Sunday) – the operation is expected to begin at 1200 ET
PHL:
- January 21 (Thursday) – normal operations expected
- January 22 (Friday) – no aircraft will remain overnight
- January 23 (Saturday) – all flights cancelled
- January 24 (Sunday) – the operation is expected to begin in the morning when the first inbound flights arrive
JFK & EWR:
- January 21 (Thursday) – normal operations expected
- January 22 (Friday) – normal operations expected
- January 23 (Saturday) – 1100 thru remainder of day all flights cancelled
- January 24 (Sunday) – the operation is expected to begin at 1200 ET
LGA:
- January 21 (Thursday) – normal operations expected
- January 22 (Friday) – normal operations expected
- January 23 (Saturday) – 1000 thru remainder of day all flights cancelled
- January 24 (Sunday) – the operation is expected to begin at 1200 ET
Washington D.C./Baltimore
- Blizzard watch from Friday afternoon through Saturday night
- Snow begins around 5pm ET on Friday
- Snowfall totals 18″-24″ predicted
Philadelphia
- Winter Storm watch from Friday Evening through Sunday Morning
- Snow begins late Friday
- Snowfall totals 18″-24″ predicted
- Snow ends early Sunday Morning
New York
- Blizzard watch from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon
- Snow begins late Saturday morning through Sunday morning
- Snowfall totals 8″-12″ predicted
Boston
- Snow begins Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning
- Snowfall totals 1″-3″ predicted
