Winter Storm Jonas Affects American Airlines Flight Attendants – LAA/LUS
Winter Storm Jonas wreaked havoc across the system causing thousands of flights across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States to be cancelled. This Winter blast created a scheduling nightmare for our American Airlines Flight Attendants. Unacceptable hold times to reach Crew Scheduling, extreme wait times for a hotel room during irregular operations, and crewmembers “lost” in the system; these are just a few of the scheduling flaws that Flight Attendants endured over the last few days.
APFA National Officers are addressing with the Company the significant impact this storm had, and continues to play on our Flight Attendant’s schedules and livelihood. Similar to previous Letters of Agreement reached regarding special pay protections, APFA is working with the Company to reach a positive outcome for all Flight Attendants of American Airlines.
Going for Great is not only about taking care of your customers, but it’s also about taking care of your Flight Attendants.
