Pay Errors – LAA/LUS
On the same day the Company reported record profits, many Flight Attendants were missing pay from their end of January paychecks.
This month, we have witnessed new unexplainable problems with Payroll such as state taxes not being withheld properly, and deductions being missed altogether. The problems with Pay Comp continued to escalate. The good news is that the Company has responded to our concerns and our member’s frustrations in getting their pay accurately reflected on their activity records so that pay is received on the appropriate paycheck.
Yesterday, the Company issued a notice advising the immediate actions they will take to address the range of problems our members face with their pay. Inaccurate guarantees, missing premiums or understaffing are just a few of the many problems reported. When Flight Attendants attempted to get the problems corrected, they were faced with busy phone lines and LAA Flight Attendants received no responses to HISENDs. The Company has added staffing to ensure you receive a timely resolution to your inquiries.
If you are still awaiting a resolution to a pay related claim from December, please send a detailed email to [email protected]. If you need a resolution to a pay issue for January, please use HISEND form 14 (LAA) or file a claim (LUS).
APFA will be monitoring the measures the Company is taking to ensure they result in accurate monthly activity records and accurate pay statements.
