Change to Default Bid’s Pairing Length Parameters in PBS – LUS
A Default Bid is a pre-determined bid used to award a Flight Attendant’s schedule when:
- A Monthly Bid is not entered, and
- A Standing Bid does not exist
The Contractual reference is Section 10.D.15.d.33 of the 2013 Red Book Contract.
Effective with the May 2016 bid, and moving forward, a Default Bid’s pairing length will be changed from previous months a follows:
Previous Default Bid’s pairing length:
- Highest credit 4-day Pairings with a Target Credit Range of 75-85
- Highest credit 3-day Pairings with a Target Credit Range of 75-85
- Highest credit 2-day Pairings with a Target Credit Range of 75-85
- Highest credit 1-day Pairings with a Target Credit Range of 75-85
New Default Bid’s pairing length (starting with May 2016 bid):
- Highest credit 1-day Pairings with a Target Credit Range of 75-85
- Highest credit 2-day Pairings with a Target Credit Range of 75-85
- Highest credit 3-day Pairings with a Target Credit Range of 75-85
- Highest credit 4-day Pairings with a Target Credit Range of 75-85
Bidding Outside LODO Global Restraints (LODO only) – LUS
LODO Flight Attendants who bid outside of the LODO program will be held to the Global line constraints. High time or low time LODO Flight Attendants should consider putting non-LODO pairing requests in later layers.
