Flight Attendant Tablet & eManual Compliance – LAA/LUS
As a reminder, in order to remain in compliance with the FAA requirements for our AA issued Tablet/eManual and avoid an inadvertent FAR violation, please review the following FAA requirements:
- Each Flight Attendant must have a fully charged tablet with a fully charged back-up battery on their person at the start of each day of scheduled flying.
- Tablets must be turned on and have the latest eManual bulletins and revisions downloaded before boarding any aircraft as an assigned working crewmember of the flight.
The FAA is scheduled to conduct an audit in MIA tomorrow, Monday, April 18, 2016. All Flight Attendants scheduled to fly into and/or out of MIA tomorrow should be prepared to have their tablet and eManual inspected by an FAA Cabin Safety Inspector (CSI). Any questions about FAA requirements can be sent directly to [email protected].
If you experience a lost/stolen tablet mid-sequence, please contact Flight Service Daily Ops at 888-222-4737 for assistance in obtaining the approved temporary version of a paper copy of required manual pages until you are able to obtain a loaner tablet or a replacement tablet.
Any Flight Attendant who experiences an inadvertent violation of the eManual may consider voluntarily submitting a report to the Cabin ASAP program. Questions about Cabin ASAP may be sent directly to [email protected].
