Interim Pay Protections Take Effect on Monday – LAA
We are several months away from integrating the system to support the pay protection policies outlined in the JCBA, but only three (3) days away until the negotiated interim pay protections take effect. This interim protection applies to all flying beginning on Monday, May 2, 2016 and remains in effect until the JCBA pay protection provisions are implemented (anticipated later this year).
- Important information about HVBL daysMake-up entry – HIHP/Start Date/End Date/MU
- HVBL days may not be moved
- If FA has HVBL days, and can plot a trip prior to 1200, then plotting trip on all HVBL days will satisfy obligation. If FA cannot plot trip on HVBL days, FA must follow MIC procedures
- HVBL entry – HIPLOT/Position/Sequence/Date
- FA should place name on MU list for all DOSTF
- A MIC FA is not obligated to accept a trip after the 1200-1330 HISEND make-up round
- Crew Schedule will not call you after the HISEND make-up round unless FA requests contact for future make-up rounds
- If FA is under monthly max, then may be assigned trip up to monthly max (PROJ)If FA is above monthly max, then may be assigned value of trip lost plus one hour
- No Option – 90 hours
- Option 1 – 95 hours
- The obligation period includes the calendar days covering the days originally scheduled to flyFA has option to opt out of pay protection
- FA may be subject to multiple assignments on DOSTF
- FA may be assigned a trip that flies into a DO
- FA may not be assigned a trip that flies into a DFP
Effective May 2, 2016 and only until full JCBA pay protection is implemented
