New Year’s Message

“Persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.”
 
The year 2015 is winding down with all of its many challenges. Barring displacements or downsizing, the LUS Flight Attendants were faced with more disruptive changes than with any other prior merger and are still reeling in the aftermath of what has been lost along the way.
 
Trust and confidence will also take time to regain, especially if the Company continues on in this trend of “if you don’t like it, leave.”

My previous communications throughout the years have addressed “Hits and Misses” and 2015 was by far a rough one. Based on your feedback, it would certainly be a very lopsided and irritating list.
 
However, our perseverance and resilience will make 2016 better. The only thing worse than anger is apathy….

• Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement Training will take place on Tuesday, January 12 from 10:30 until 17:00 in Conference Center in Terminal A – Near the Lobby (Side A) at the DCA Airport.
   
• PHA5E Training will take place on Wednesday, January 13 from 10:30 until 12:30 in Conference Room in Terminal B (near the Delta Crown Room) at the DCA Airport. Topics include: New Hires/APFA Operations/Current contract language review- Allie Malis (DCA- AA), Torrance Hurtault (MIA), and Reese Cole (PHX). From 12:30 until 15:00, JCBA language will be introduced and reviewed. LUS Reserve Chair John Pennel will also be on-hand to answer any questions. This will be a great opportunity to discuss JCBA Scheduling and Reserve language.
