It is with great sadness that I relay the passing of our fellow Flight Attendant and friend, Harry Rodgers, Jr.
Harry began his career when hired by USAir over 37 years ago. He was also previously based in BWI for 13 Years.
Those that knew Harry would attest that he was an energetic and spirited guy who wasn’t shy about letting you know his passionate opinions on a wide range of topics.
Harry wore his heart on his sleeve and cared deeply about others. He recently relayed his appreciation at the concern and support shown by DCA Flight Service, the Union, and his Flight Attendant family, knowing we were all rooting for him.
He reminds us to always reach out, don’t suffer in silence, and take care of one another.
Details on funeral arrangements will be posted in DCA as soon as possible.
Rest in Peace Harry. We will miss you….

WINGS Foundation in the Crew Room
The WINGS Foundation is another wonderful Flight Attendant resource and will be in both DCA Crew Rooms this week. Stop by and meet Wings volunteers on Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7 from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days. Enjoy homemade treats and learn more about the WINGS Foundation from DCA Flight Attendant Monique Jobin.
The Wings Foundation is a nonprofit organization, formed and managed by American Airlines Flight Attendants. Volunteers administer support to our Flight Attendants in critical need of financial help. Assistance may be available to those experiencing serious illness, injury or disability. It may also include those affected by a disaster or catastrophic event, which ultimately causes a major financial hardship. For more information, visit us at www.wingsfoundation.com
Understandably, we all can feel overwhelmed and challenged by so many changes happening at once; most that we cannot control. Supporting one another, listening to each other, and voicing our concerns will continue to make us stronger every day. Thank you.
In Sympathy and Solidarity,
Di
