TWU-IAM Association and AA Reach Interim Agreement
Earlier today the TWU-IAM Association representing American Airlines Fleet Service Workers and Mechanics announced that they have reached an interim agreement with the Company providing average wage hikes of approximately twenty two (22) percent, a lump sum payment, and enhancements to their defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans. Although not part of the agreement, the Company also presented the possibility of insourcing some maintenance work that had previously been outsourced.
Joint contract negotiations will continue as union leaders press for additional gains in all areas of their contract.
APFA congratulates our Sisters and Brothers at TWU-IAM for securing these gains through their unwavering commitment to solidarity. This interim agreement is proof positive that being unified and standing together is the best way to achieve the respect and compensation worthy of labor’s contributions to the airline.
